Sovereign Harbour a part of my hometown,
a mixture of a residential and working harbour
with paths running through it like a rabbit warren.
Part of the posh bit with large boats moored at the end
of the home owners lawns.
A place to meet and say hello.
The bridges raise to let the boats through.
The paths and walkways are used by the local cormorants,
this ones drying himself after a spot of fishing for lunch.
Local swans also live here despite it being salt water.
and under our walkways the fish have their
own walkways, trying to avoid the
cormorant.
All in all a busy place for paths whether they are static
or of a watery nature.
Really like the second last shot with the reflecting underside of the path.
ReplyDeleteYou had good weather, and hence wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteI went out and got bombed by a weather bomb, my umbrella faces back ward.
I come home and faced another bomb. " Why you go out?", when he found out it was his umbrella that got bombed.
I absolutely love it that you managed to capture the fish navigating their path! So cool with those reflections.
ReplyDeleteThe cormorant's eye is amazing.
Like Kerry, I thought the fishy photo was great but shouldn't it be called a swimway!
ReplyDeletelovely photos, and the dialog is great also. the birds eye (s?) is the same color as the water - remarkable. the smooching on the pier is great - enjoyed my visit.
ReplyDeleteI think the Swimway is a great twist on this theme!
